Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri has been a popular Indian actress, who gained recognition for her performance in the film Hum Aapke Hin Koun as well as Beta Saajan. The actress began her career in the 1980s and came into prominence thanks to her character in Tezaab, a film in which she was a part of the cast with the veteran actor Anil Kapoor. In the next film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared with her. Early on, as a child growing up in the middle class of Mumbai, she learned to dance. When she was a teen, she began acting and suffered for several years as the majority of her first films were failures. She found fame and became one of the top movie actresses. Her marriage led to a hiatus in her professional career. Later, she returned. She was a key character as a lead actress in Gulaab Gang, a film focused on women's struggles in India. Dixit was nominated 15 times to win Filmfare Awards. She won eight of these. Padma Shri - the fourth most prestigious civilian award of India - was given to Dixit. Her name is well-known for her social works as well.
