Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. As a child, she was exposed to lots of traditional music as well as older Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is passionate about opera and tangos, as well as any dramatic performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous singing lessons at the age of 16 under the tutelage of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was a member of many opera choruses and chamber ensembles. When she moved from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She is currently performing classic Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. As an instructor and performer in the local area the passion for music and art keeps her involved in a range of initiatives. Ana is also a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to have the opportunity to share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will encourage younger generations to preserve the traditions.
